Only Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved absences are excused. All others may be excused at the discretion of the Director of Bands; non-approved absences are more likely to be excused if they are communicated in advance of one (1) week and plans are made to make up the missed content.

2025-26 CONCERT SEASON NEWS:

TEXAS STATE SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST

Congratulations to all our students who competed at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Kyle, TX this weekend. It was a test of focus, discipline, and willpower to wake up super early and perform for graduation, and then IMMEDIATELY book it 4 hours to the event. We barely made our first performance, and the kids mobilized swiftly and with purpose. We are so proud of them.

UIL Concert and sight-reading evaluation - honor band

Congratulations to the Lake View High School Varsity Honor Band for earning Division 1 Superior ratings in Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation in Ballinger yesterday. This makes the bands' eighth consecutive sweepstakes thus far! We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and growth.
